Blue Monday - Blue Light Blubs

Welcome! It's Blue Monday! For complete instructions, just click here.

Brr. I hope you're staying warm. Even Florida is chilly with three cold fronts in this past week!

Check out the other Blue participants by clicking on their photos.

Make someone's day by leaving them a comment and wishing them a Happy Blue Monday!

Relax--increase your happiness and get smarter. How?

Simply change your light bulbs to Blue!

According to research, high wattage light raises stress levels and makes you hungry. If you change normal white light bulbs to blue-enriched light, it'll decrease fatigue, elevate your mood, and improve your sleep. I discovered this bit of "magic" in my local newspaper, and then I searched for additional information.

In this article, I discovered that among other benefits, 20 seconds of blue light will increase your IQ by 5 points!

(PET Brain Scan of an Awake Brain: Blue Light of wavelength 460nm switches the brain into 'awake' mode.)

We recently bought this box of Blue bulbs. I know they look kinda white, but believe me, they're really Blue.

By switching your light bulbs to Blue bulbs, you'll smile more and make the world a better place.

Who Knew?

Happy Blue Monday!

Just goes to show, you can learn something everyday. If I saw a blue bulb, never paid it any attention. Will check them out next time.

Well I've heard about painting your walls a certain color to create a relaxing mood but never heard of light doing the same. Maybe putting them in your bedroom would be best.

I used to use blue lights for my plants in the winter. I guess I should have been basking in their light as well.

Hi Sally,

Yet again, I've missed Blue Monday linky. The hours it is open are so very short. I am at my computer in the evenings only, and on Sunday evening it's not yet open and on Monday evening it's closed already. So frustrating! Isn't there any way it could open earlier or stay open later? I am on the West coast, so am on Pacific time.

My link is so very blue, too: http://www.lovethatimage.com/blog/2014/01/hydrangea-photo-print/
