Blue Monday - My Library

Hello, it finally came . . . Happy Spring!

It's Blue Monday! Come celebrate the color we best--blue!

For instructions, please click here.

Feel free to grab the
Blue Monday Code on my sidebar and place it directly onto your Blue Monday post.

Check the other participants and wish them a Happy Blue Monday!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I love to read and maintain a book blog where I review what I've read. I'm planning a giveaway in a couple of weeks.
In my search for things blue, I spotted this beautiful blue library sign. It stands outside of my local library.
This is the side of the library. I captured the sky and the flag because they both contain more blue.
The city began as a train station around 1910. To commemorate the town's beginning, the library has an interesting 3-D brick sculpture of a train pointed toward the entrance. You can see the entrance by looking at the right side of this photo by the white railing.
Here's a close-up. I think it's quite unique with its 3-D effect. As we walk through the doors, the train is aimed right at us.
Happy Blue Monday!
I love reading but I seem to be reading magazines more than books these days. When I do read I love reading historical biographies!
Thanks for having me today. Hope you enjoy that gorgeous Spring weather!
Best wishes,
Natasha.
Yes, yes, I love to read. The library is my very favorite place to go. I used to buy books, but that became costly. I just go and enjoy the latest from the library.
Yes I love to read too, and most of my fiction, when I get a chance, comes from the library.
Lovely blue sign and sky.
Hi Sally, wow, this is so cool, so sad people right in where I live are not so adept with reading, thus public libraries are not a hit.. posted mine..
Happy Blue Monday, Sally.
I like the train feature. That was a creative concept to tie to city history.
And, I love to read. But, I have to control my addiction in order to go to work. I am always torn to put my book down.
Good morning Sally, Boy there are lots of Bloggers signed up after me. I linked after midnight before I went to bed. I meant to come back early this morning but we slept late. A rare occasion for me.
Your Library is huge and beautiful. I love the history and the train on the building. A lot of thought went into the construction of this wonderful building. My mother was an avid reader and she would have loved this library. She actually read out the library in her town and had to change to another. Hard to believe huh?
Gotta get going. Our church is making baby quilts to send to China. They will be tied instead of quilted. I am so sad for these poor people.
Have a wonderful day.
Love, Jeanne
I used to visit the library all the time when my girls were younger, but haven't been in about 6 years, sadly enough. I do love to read...mostly non-fiction. Happy Blue Monday, Sally!
What a great train relief on that library....such an awesome nod to the history of your city! And what DARLING grandkiddos in their sweet Spring Break shirts. Yes, in the olden days, we did call it Easter Vacation. Gotta keep the church out of the state, I guess. :(
Our skies are blue in KCMO today!!!! It's a happy Blue Monday here, too! Have a great day!
That is a very nice library. We only have a small anex library that is connected to our county seat library. We are fortunate that we can place an order for books we are looking for and it will be sent over from the county library. ~~Sherry~~
Happy Blue Monday Sally
Thats a very nice bright blue library sign. It really stands out nicely. The trains is really interesting and the 3-D adds a nice touch to the library too.
I bet you read a lot of books.... I do like to read and pick up magazines of different kinds to read whenever I can...and I'm back into reading before I go to bed. Thats a real treat part of my day these days. I am reading novels lately.
Happy Blue Monday and springy skies...
Hi Most Blue One! I love libraries and I don't want anything to do with those Kindles or mechanic things.
Well my tiny toe is still a bit bruised and hurts it I poke on it. So I don't poke on it much! :)
I know you're weather is probably pretty perfect like ours! :) You know, I've had that cross tassel up for a few years and thought about taking it down. But since you like it - I won't! :)
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
